What is the Fellowship?

The FUKC is an alliance of the UK and Ireland’s non-commercial clubs for gay and bisexual men into leather, motorbikes, rubber, uniforms, denim, skingear and their associated lifestyles.  It coordinates the events, parties and activities of the member clubs and acts as a central point for the dissemination of information about their meetings and events. There is no formal constitution or committee. Instead, the clubs meet together annually in June for a social event and conference during which an affiliated club is appointed to hold the secretariat and one of its members to act as coordinator.

You would be wrong if you thought the FUKC is something new. One club has been catering for the gay and bisexual men for over 40 years, another is well into its 30s and others are over 20 years old.  Even the youngest club has been in existence for nearly 10 years. The older clubs were formed during an era when there was no established commercial leather scene and quickly became the focus for men into our styles of fetish gear. Over recent years, the clubs have had to some extent refocus themselves to provide something distinctive which you will not find on the commercial scene.

The clubs can be whatever you want them to be. For some they are a social group, for others a place to be able to wear leather, rubber, uniform or skinhead gear. They are a safe haven for like-minded guys who enjoy the company of similar guys and you will most probably find genuine and longstanding friendships although, of course, more transient, playful encounters are certainly not ruled out!  Although the age group is slightly more mature than the typical gay club, you will find men of all ages.

All the UK clubs are also members of the much larger European Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs (ECMC) which has a total membership of about 4500 in some 16 countries. These organize a packed calendar of themed parties, meetings, bike runs and

weekends for their members. All the clubs share a common membership card, so a member of one ECMC club can attend events organized by another ECMC clubs at members’ rates, provided he follows the dress code required by the host club. Once a year, each club also organizes its ‘ECMC event’ to which members of other clubs are especially invited.

We also have close links with the commercial gay leather scene and many venues and shops offer discounts to our members.

If we have interested you thus far, browse through the rest of this site. Many of our clubs also have their own web sites and these are linked from the Member Clubs - Links page.  The ECMC Events pages also have links to many of the web sites of the European clubs.  Even better, go along to a meeting of your local club and introduce yourself; you are sure of a warm welcome.
